This tea blend recipe is a great way to start your day, or as an afternoon pick-me-up to boost energy and mood.

With a blend of Damiana, Yerba Maté, Licorice and Lemon Myrtle, this tea will uplift your mood and get you focussed without being too jittery.

Damiana is one of our all-time favourite herbs for improving mood and reducing stress. Its great to drink throughout the day, as it’s not too sedating.

Yerba Maté is a legendary stimulant herb from South America where it is preferred over regular tea. It is packed with vitamins and minerals, and contains caffeine for that boost you desire! On it’s own it is mildly bitter, but doesn’t have tannins like regular tea. It provides long lasting, non-jittery stimulation, and is a favourite for studying and working.

Licorice adds a nice sweetness to this blend, and is an excellent synergist herb, and adrenal supportive herb, which is beneficial when taking stimulants!

Lemon Myrtle adds an uplifting and refreshing lemony flavour to this blend, which we find relaxing and mood-boosting (similar to other lemon flavoured herbs such as Lemon Balm which is a well known anti-depressant herb).

INGREDIENTS:

1 tsp Damiana

1 tsp Yerba Maté

1 pinch Licorice Root

1 pinch Lemon Myrtle

DIRECTIONS:

Add all herbs to a teapot or cup with stainless steel tea infuser. Pour over 1 cup of hot water, cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain (or remove infuser), and add sweetener if desired. Enjoy!
